My name is Annie and I’m a feminist!
I’m an Irish woman living in the north of England, and I’m a university lecturer in sociology. My teaching and research interests lie in feminist theory, the history of feminism, feminist sociology (for example, gender and social structure, and gender normative expectations), and feminist criminology (for example, women offenders, and women in prison). These interests are also an intrinsic part of my non-working life, of course, and my main tumblr (moreapologies) features a host of pieces around these themes.
I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about the above or anything else (though don’t ask me why the earth is round or such like because I don’t know!).
