Do you think that there is ever a situation where protecting human rights is more important than respecting culture and heritage?

I think protecting human rights supercedes culture. I think the issue is that too often Westerners make assumptions about other cultures and customs, and instead of truly trying to improve human rights they are trying to “civilize” cultures they view as underdeveloped from their own.
I don’t know if there’s a specific “human right” you are referring to.
